100th Anniversary

On Saturday, April 4, 2015, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 159 celebrated a Century of Excellence at Richmond’s Historic Craneway Pavilion.

To sum up 100 years of work and achievements during this one evening, seemed a formidable task.  However, we captured many of the highlights of our past and future and shared them with you.

For the past 100 years Local 159 has played a key role in building the infrastructure of Contra Costa County.  Our members have been involved in the construction of the water treatment and wastewater treatment plants, schools, hospitals, laboratories that serve our community in addition to constructing much of the commercial and residential construction. It is said that “The Plumber Protects the Health of the Nation”.  Local 159 members and signatory contractors have done their upmost to train journeymen and apprentices to the highest standards in order to fulfill that obligation.

To all who joined us that evening, we thank you for celebrating with us, and to those who were unable to attend, we thank you for your continued support...
